Waleed Zuaiter and Joel Kinnaman discuss ‘High Value Target: The Hunt for Saddam’

Actors Waleed Zuaiter and Joel Kinnaman have shared insights into their roles in the upcoming TNT limited series, ‘High Value Target: The Hunt for Saddam’. Zuaiter portrays the former Iraqi dictator, a role he prepared for by studying five different biographies to understand the historical figure's traumatic upbringing and character development.

Kinnaman plays John Nixon, the former CIA analyst who was the first officer to interrogate Hussein following his capture in December 2003. Kinnaman based his performance on Nixon’s 2016 memoir, ‘Debriefing the President: The Interrogation of Saddam Hussein’. Kinnaman noted that Zuaiter’s physical resemblance to the dictator added to the authenticity of the interrogation scenes. The series is scheduled to premiere on TNT on October 4.
