Green Flag Award Wales Keep Wales Tidy Aberporth Ynysymaengwyn

Keep Wales Tidy announced the 2026 Green Flag Awards, reporting a record 330 parks and green spaces across Wales meeting the scheme's high standards. The list includes 93 sites awarded the full Green Flag and 237 receiving the Green Flag Community Award, maintaining Wales' lead over other nations.

Aberporth Village Hall volunteers were presented with a Green Flag Community Award, celebrated at a tea‑party attended by village chair Mike Harwood, community council chair Zoe Storer and county councillor Clive Davies. The award recognised the volunteers' hard work, visitor facilities and community involvement. In the same ceremony, the Ynysymaengwyn Trust secured a full Green Flag Award for the fifteenth consecutive year, praised for safety, maintenance, environmental management and its role as a community resource.

The awards, managed by Keep Wales Tidy, highlight Wales' commitment to high‑quality, volunteer‑run green spaces.
