Wales football team maintains unique team photo tradition

The Wales national football team has maintained a unique tradition of taking disorganized and asymmetrical team photographs for the past decade. During a recent match against Portugal at the Estádio do Algarve, the team's photo once again featured irregular spacing, with large gaps in the rows and players positioned unevenly.

Former player Joe Ledley explained that the practice began around 2016. Rather than attempting to organize formal rehearsals for these photos, the players decided to embrace the lack of structure. The team views this unconventional approach as a lucky charm, noting that the period following the start of this tradition included significant successes, such as reaching the semi-finals of Euro 2016.
