Wales Rugby League defeats Scotland 38-0 in Celtic Cup

Wales secured a dominant 38-0 victory over Scotland in the Men’s Celtic Cup, played in heavy rain at the Hartree Mill Sports Grounds. The win sets up a title decider against Ireland in Merthyr Tydfil next week.

Lewis Ingram, representing the Bridgend Blue Bulls, made a historic debut by scoring two tries. Ingram is the first player from a Welsh Conference club to represent the Wales men’s side in 21 years. Other Welsh try scorers included Will Jones, Mike Butt, Sam Grice, Taine Woodford, Ant Walker, and Oliver Garmston.

Despite difficult weather conditions, Wales maintained control throughout the match, leading 22-0 at halftime. Charlie Newton contributed three conversions to the final score. Connor Terrill was named Scotland’s player of the match.
