Wales & West Utilities conducts gas network upgrades

Wales & West Utilities is conducting several gas infrastructure upgrade projects across different regions in the United Kingdom to ensure network safety and reliability.

In Wem, a project to upgrade gas pipes has been completed ahead of its original September deadline. The company worked with Shropshire Council to manage the works, which are intended to secure the gas supply for local homes and businesses and prepare the network for future green gas transport.

In Wadebridge, a £500,000 upgrade program is set to begin in the Polmorla Road area. The project, planned in conjunction with Cornwall Council, involves replacing 1.7 kilometres of gas pipes over the next two years. Localized road closures on Polmorla Road and Fairmead Road are expected during the initial phase, which is scheduled to run from September 7 to October 2.
