Wales women's team prepares for World Cup play-off second leg against Albania

The Wales women's national football team is preparing for the second leg of their Women's World Cup play-off against Albania. Following a 1–0 victory in the first leg held in Albania, the decisive match is scheduled to take place in Llanelli on Tuesday, October 13.

Midfielder Jess James, one of the few players remaining from the squad that participated in previous qualification attempts, noted that the team is drawing motivation from past experiences, including a narrow loss in the 2023 World Cup qualifying semi-finals.

Alongside the sporting event, the supporters' charity Gôl Cymru! has engaged in charitable work in Albania. Members of the organization joined the One Heart Children's Foundation in Shkodër to launch a project aimed at improving the lives of children. The charity received a €1,000 donation from the supporters to fund school supplies, toys, and educational activities through a new grandmother and children programme.
