Walibi Holland faces scrutiny over ride accessibility for overweight visitors

A recent investigation by the channel ‘FunTime Arena’ has highlighted accessibility challenges for overweight visitors at the Walibi Holland amusement park in the Netherlands. The study focused on whether passengers with higher body weights could safely use various roller coasters and attractions, specifically testing the limits of seats and restraint systems.

The findings indicate that while there is no general ban on overweight individuals, specific rides have limitations. For safety reasons, passengers cannot proceed with a ride if the safety bars or restraint systems cannot close correctly. This often results in disappointment for visitors who only discover these restrictions immediately before boarding.
