Redouane Halhal signs five‑million‑euro deal with Venezia until 2030

Moroccan centre‑back Redouane Halhal has completed a permanent transfer to Serie A club Venezia FC. The club announced a contract running to 30 June 2030, with a reported fee of €5 million plus bonuses. Halhal arrived from Belgian side KV Mechelen after a season in which he made 34 appearances, scored once and provided two assists.

Born in 2003, Halhal developed in Montpellier’s youth system, later playing for Atlético Madrid’s reserve team, Dutch side Helmond Sport and Mechelen. He has earned five senior caps for Morocco, including full‑match appearances at the 2026 World Cup against Canada and Haiti. Venezia, the Serie B champions, confirmed the signing as part of its preparation for the 2026‑27 Serie A campaign, with sporting director Filippo Antonelli praising the defender’s experience and potential.

The club noted that it out‑bid interest from Benfica, Nottingham Forest and a French club to secure the player.
