Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux opens new location in Wylie, Texas
Louisiana‑based sports bar chain Walk‑On's Sports Bistreaux, co‑owned by former NFL players including Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, is opening its 20th Texas restaurant at 906 FM 544 in Wylie on Monday, August 10. The venue, the chain’s second in the Dallas‑Fort Worth area, will feature a menu of seafood and classic Louisiana dishes such as gumbo, po'boys, fried oysters and boudin balls, alongside a wide selection of beers and cocktails.
The Wylie location is owned by franchisee Cooper Thomson, who said he is “thrilled to expand Walk‑On’s presence in Dallas, and particularly in the community of Wylie.” The restaurant will include dozens of TVs, a large outdoor patio and a family‑friendly dining room designed for game‑day crowds. The grand‑opening ceremony will include Walk‑On’s founder Brandon Landry and Wylie mayor.
Founded in Baton Rouge in 2003 by former LSU basketball players Brandon Landry and Jack Warner, Walk‑On’s now operates more than 80 locations nationwide.
