Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reports 40 assaults on farmers
The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported 40 separate incidents of assault and violations by Israeli forces and settlers against Palestinian farmers and olive harvest activities. These incidents occurred across several governorates, including Nablus, Ramallah, Salfit, Jenin, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Hebron.
The reported actions included the use of live ammunition, physical assaults, arrests, and the expulsion of farmers from their lands. The Commission also documented the theft of crops and equipment, as well as the destruction of olive trees. Specifically, five individuals were arrested during the harvest, including three in Shabitayn.
In addition to targeting farmers, the reports indicate that masked settlers attacked vehicles belonging to European diplomatic missions in Al-Taybeh using clubs. The Commission stated that these coordinated attacks on farmers, trees, and equipment are intended to pressure Palestinian presence in the targeted areas during the olive season.
