Advanced Micro Devices sees increased institutional investment

Meeder Asset Management Inc. significantly increased its stake in Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD) by 540.2% during the second quarter. According to SEC filings, the fund acquired an additional 17,974 shares, bringing its total holdings to 21,301 shares valued at approximately $12,374,000.

Other major institutional investors also reported increased positions in the semiconductor manufacturer. BlackRock Inc. raised its stake by 3.1% in the second quarter, while Vanguard Group Inc. and State Street Corp increased their holdings by 1.6% and 1.5% respectively during the fourth quarter. Additionally, Norges Bank established a new position in the company during the fourth quarter, valued at roughly $4,929,312,000. Currently, hedge funds and other institutional investors hold 71.34% of AMD's stock.
