Walla Walla, Washington, is celebrating what is being called the ‘Triple Milestone’ to honor the 98th birthday of actor Adam West and the 60th anniversaries of both the Batman television series and the Batman film.

Local festivities include the ninth annual Adam West Day hosted by the Kirkman House Museum, featuring displays of the 1966 Batmobile, the Bat-Copter, and the 1989 Batmobile, alongside a costume contest. The celebrations will conclude with the Bat-Signal being projected onto the Marcus Whitman Hotel tower.

Adam West, born William West Anderson, rose to global fame in the 1960s for his portrayal of Batman. His performance was noted for maintaining absolute seriousness amidst the show's campy and absurd scenarios. The television series premiered on ABC in January 1966 and ran for three seasons.
