Wallabies announce 34-man squad for Bledisloe Cup series

Wallabies head coach Les Kiss has named a 34-man squad for the upcoming Bledisloe Cup series against the All Blacks, scheduled for October 10 in Auckland and October 17 in Sydney.

The squad features only one debutant, loose forward Toby Macpherson, who replaces Tom Hooper. Macpherson, a former Australian U20 captain, was selected for his versatility to play both lock and number six. Other notable changes include Massimo De Lutiis replacing Taniela Tupou, as both Hooper and Tupou are unavailable due to club commitments in the Northern Hemisphere.

Australia faces a significant challenge in the series, having not won the Bledisloe Cup since 2002 and not securing a victory at Eden Park since 1986. The squad also faces potential uncertainty regarding center Hunter Paisami, pending a decision on a yellow card suspension received against South Africa.
