Wallabies name squad for South Africa Test in Perth

The Wallabies have named a 34-man squad to face South Africa at Optus Stadium in Perth. The selection includes several Western Force players, notably Ben Donaldson and Harry McLaughlin-Phillips.

McLaughlin-Phillips has earned a maiden Test call-up following a standout Super Rugby AUS debut where he scored a try and a match-winning conversion. He joins Donaldson in the halves room after Wallabies coach Les Kiss was forced to look for replacements due to a leg fracture suffered by fly-half Carter Gordon during a recent match against Argentina.

Other Western Force players included in the squad are Carlo Tizzano, Jeremy Williams, and Brandon Paenga-Amosa. Jordan Petaia also returns to the squad for the first time since the 2023 Rugby World Cup. The Wallabies face a challenging match against the reigning world champion Springboks, who recently concluded a series against New Zealand.
