Wallabies name squad for Bledisloe Cup rematch against All Blacks

Australia coach Les Kiss has named his squad for the second Bledisloe Cup Test against New Zealand in Sydney, making several key changes following a 50-19 defeat at Eden Park. Due to a continuing injury crisis at fly-half, Declan Meredith has been elevated to the starting playmaker role, replacing Ben Donaldson, who is sidelined with a minor upper leg injury. Other notable selections include Aidan Ross starting in the front row, with star prop Angus Bell moving to the bench to provide late-game impact.

The Wallabies face significant personnel challenges, including the absence of Len Ikitau due to concussion and the unavailability of several other playmakers. In the midfield, Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii will shift to outside centre to partner Isaac Henry.

Meanwhile, the All Blacks have made eight changes to their matchday 23. While maintaining much of their starting lineup to build on their recent victory, New Zealand has introduced several changes to their bench to address injuries. The match serves as a crucial opportunity for Australia to attempt to break a 12-match losing streak against their trans-Tasman rivals.

Separately, Wallabies captain Harry Wilson expressed confidence that winger Mark Nawaqanitawase will eventually return to the national side following his stint in rugby league and upcoming move to play in Japan.
