Walmart and Wing to expand drone delivery to Denver and Seattle in 2027
Walmart and Wing have announced plans to expand their drone delivery service to the Denver and Seattle metropolitan areas in 2027. This expansion will bring the service to nearly 20 major U.S. metro areas, targeting a total of over 270 Walmart stores nationwide.
The service aims to provide 30-minute delivery for thousands of items, including groceries, electronics, and household goods. Wing’s aircraft are capable of traveling at speeds up to 60 mph and can carry packages weighing up to five pounds. The expansion into Seattle and Denver will test the technology in diverse climates, including frequent rain and winter weather.
Currently, the partnership provides access to more than three million customers across cities such as Houston, Atlanta, and Dallas-Fort Worth. The long-term goal is to reach over 40 million customers across the United States.
