Walmart reaches milestone with 100 EV charging sites across 20 states

Walmart has reached a milestone in its electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure rollout, with its company-owned and operated fast-charging stations now deployed at 100 stores across 20 U.S. states. The 100th location was recently opened at a Walmart Supercenter in Monument, Colorado.

The network utilizes high-power chargers from providers such as ABB Mobility and Alpitronic, capable of delivering up to 400 kW. Most sites feature between eight and 16 stalls equipped with both CCS and NACS connectors to accommodate different vehicle types without adapters.

Charging sessions are managed through the Walmart app, and Walmart+ loyalty members are eligible for discounted rates. The company stated that the expansion aims to provide a dependable charging option for customers while they shop, and plans to continue growing the network.
