Walmart tomato bisque soup kits recalled over Listeria concerns

Kettle Cuisine LLC has issued a voluntary recall of 3,240 14-ounce Marketside Tomato Bisque Soup Kits sold exclusively at Walmart stores across 29 U.S. states. The recall follows routine testing that yielded a presumptive positive result for Listeria monocytogenes.

The affected products were distributed between June 30 and July 7, 2026. They are identified by UPC 194346474004 and carry a use-by date of August 22, 2026. Because Listeria can grow at refrigeration temperatures, the FDA advises consumers not to rely on smell or appearance, as contaminated products may look and taste normal.

While no confirmed illnesses have been reported, the FDA warns that Listeria infection can cause serious health issues, including high fever, nausea, and severe complications for pregnant women, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems. Consumers are advised to discard the product and sanitize any surfaces, utensils, or containers that may have come into contact with the packaging.
