Walt Disney World announces 2027 resort updates and openings

Walt Disney World has announced several updates regarding its resort properties scheduled for 2027. The company revealed details for the upcoming Lakeshore Lodge, which is set to open on July 1, 2027. The new resort will feature 967 rooms, including studios, villas, and Lake Houses. New amenities include the Branch & Brush lounge, which will feature a color-changing seasonal chandelier and views of Bay Lake, as well as the Dandelion Terrace lounge, which will overlook the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

Simultaneously, Disney has extended refurbishment timelines for the BoardWalk Inn. Construction and maintenance at the property are now expected to continue into early 2027. A significant disruption will occur at the Luna Park Pool, which is scheduled to close from January 11, 2027, through April 2027. During this period, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area and Leaping Horses Libations will also be unavailable for routine maintenance.
