Walt Disney World announces 2028 Disney Skyliner refurbishment dates

Walt Disney World has announced that the Disney Skyliner gondola system will undergo routine refurbishment from January 24 through February 2, 2028. This scheduled closure follows an established pattern of annual winter maintenance for the transportation network.

During this period, complimentary bus transportation will replace the gondola service for guests at all connected resorts and stations. Affected locations include Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, Pop Century Resort, Riviera Resort, Beach Club Resort, Yacht Club Resort, and BoardWalk Inn.

Travelers heading to EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios from these resorts are advised to account for additional travel time due to the transition to bus service. The Skyliner system, which debuted in 2019, serves as a primary scenic link between the major theme parks and several resort properties.
