Walt Disney World announces park reservation shortages and schedule changes
Walt Disney World is experiencing fluctuations in park availability and scheduled operational changes. Recent reservation data indicated that three of the four major theme parks—EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Magic Kingdom—showed no available reservations for certain dates in mid-October, leaving Disney’s Animal Kingdom as the primary option with open slots.
Additionally, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will implement an early closure on Tuesday, October 20. The park will close to regular guests at 5 p.m., four hours earlier than its standard 9 p.m. closing time, to accommodate a private evening event for the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo 2026. Magic Kingdom is also scheduled for early closures on select evenings throughout October to host Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Separately, Disney is set to increase maximum prices for four Lightning Lane Single Pass rides effective November 1.
