Walt Disney World faces safety incidents: monorail service dog death and sinking ride vehicle
On July 28, a guest’s service dog died of heat exhaustion aboard a Walt Disney World monorail after the train was evacuated. Reddit users reported the incident, with one writing, “Unfortunately it died… Very tragic indeed.” The park has not issued a public statement, and the extreme heat advisory at the time listed heat‑index values near 110 °F, raising concerns about enclosed‑space conditions.
The following day, July 29, a log flume on the newly re‑imagined Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom began taking on water and sank, forcing guests to be escorted through a backstage area. The attraction was temporarily closed for several hours, and guests have cited additional technical problems on the ride throughout the summer.
