Walt Disney World faces temperature drop and rain from approaching cold front
A significant cold front is expected to move through Central Florida this weekend, bringing a sharp drop in temperatures to the Walt Disney World Resort area. After highs near 89 degrees on Thursday, October 15, forecasts indicate temperatures will fall to approximately 79 degrees on Saturday, October 17, and 78 degrees on Sunday, October 18. By Wednesday, October 21, morning lows could reach near 61 degrees.
The National Weather Service in Melbourne has identified the approaching front, which is also expected to bring increased chances of rain and windy, unsettled conditions through the weekend and into early next week.
These weather changes may influence guest behavior at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. While cooler temperatures may make early morning arrivals, or ‘rope drops,’ more comfortable for walking between attractions, the potential for rain and wind may complicate outdoor entertainment and ride availability.
