Walt Disney World Halloween festivities disrupted by severe weather

Severe weather disrupted Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom on October 8. Heavy rain forced the cancellation of the first showing of the Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and several performances of the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular at Cinderella Castle. While a second parade eventually took place, it was rescheduled to an earlier time due to the weather, and the Headless Horseman character was notably absent.

Disney's seasonal event focuses on a playful, family-friendly atmosphere featuring character meet-and-greets, trick-or-treating, and festive food. This contrasts with the more intense, horror-focused experiences offered by competitors like Universal Orlando Resort, making the choice of venue critical for guests seeking specific types of Halloween entertainment.
