Walt Disney World restaurants delay lunch service openings

Walt Disney World EPCOT theme park dining restaurant schedules travel planning

Guests visiting Walt Disney World are advised to check restaurant operating hours, as many popular dining locations do not begin lunch service at 11:00 a.m. as expected by early park visitors.

EPCOT features the highest concentration of later openings. Several major restaurants in the World Showcase, including Le Cellier Steakhouse, Biergarten Restaurant, Chefs de France, and Nine Dragons Restaurant, do not begin lunch until noon. Tutto Italia Ristorante in the Italy Pavilion has an even later start, beginning service at 12:30 p.m.

Other locations also follow delayed schedules. At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Tiffins Restaurant begins lunch at 11:30 a.m., while at Magic Kingdom, Skipper Canteen also opens after 11:00 a.m. Some establishments, such as La Hacienda de San Angel and Story Book Dining at Artist Point, skip lunch service entirely and do not open until 4:00 p.m.

Some options are available for earlier dining, including San Angel Inn Restaurante, Space 220 Restaurant, and Katsura Grill, which all begin service at 11:30 a.m.
