Walt Disney World updates Hall of Presidents attraction

Walt Disney World Resort has implemented several updates to the Hall of Presidents attraction at Magic Kingdom Park, marking an unusually frequent cadence of changes for the Liberty Square experience. Typically, the attraction undergoes major refurbishments only following a U.S. presidential election.

A major refurbishment concluded on June 29, 2025, which included relocating the audio-animatronic figure of President Joe Biden and adding a new animatronic for President Donald Trump. Following a precedent set during the Biden administration, the sitting president’s speech has been shortened; President Trump now delivers only the Oath of Office during the presentation.

In addition to the animatronic changes, the attraction’s lobby has seen multiple updates to its historical artifact displays throughout the year. These include the removal of a basketball once belonging to Barack Obama—likely returned to the Obama Presidential Library following the opening of the Obama Center in Chicago—and the addition of various items, such as a photo of John F. Kennedy and artifacts related to Harry S. Truman and Gerald R. Ford.
