Walt Disney World updates Magic Kingdom trainer costumes

Walt Disney World has implemented wardrobe updates for cast member trainers at Magic Kingdom. The change introduces a new wardrobe detail to operational costumes designed to make trainers more easily identifiable to both guests and fellow employees.

This update is part of a broader, multi-year effort by Disney Live Entertainment’s Costuming team to modernize and update operational outfits across the resort. These updates include transitioning to lightweight, breathable, and often sustainable materials. While some enthusiasts have debated the shift from highly specific, themed attire to more standardized clothing, the new trainer markers are intended as functional signage to assist new hires and leadership during shifts.

Disney’s costuming operations at Walt Disney World are extensive, involving approximately 1,500 cast members across 46 locations to manage the wardrobe for over 65,000 employees.
