Bouzán and Llera defend K-2 title at Descenso del Sella
The 88th edition of the Descenso Internacional del Sella concluded with Walter Bouzán and Bertín Llera successfully defending their title in the K-2 category. The pair finished with a time of 1:08:26 after a competitive final sprint against Miguel Llorens and Valdemar Jorgensen.
In the men's K-1 category, Alberto Plaza claimed victory, marking his first win in the event in nine years. Plaza secured the top position by maintaining a strong rhythm and managing the gap between himself and his pursuers. Joaquín Iglesias took second place, followed by Kiko Vega in third.
The competition featured over 1,200 paddlers from 22 different countries. Other notable winners included Osaba and Tuset in the women's K-2 category, and Zsofia Czellai in the women's K-1 category. The event, which follows a 20-kilometer route from Arriondas to Ribadesella, drew thousands of spectators.
