Walter Riviera to tour Italian theater with AI-themed play

The theatrical production “Mi ‘AI’ rubato il lavoro?” is launching a 2026 tour across Italy to explore the societal impacts of artificial intelligence. Created and performed by Walter Riviera, a former AI Technical Director at Intel and current Chief AI Officer at AI Wonder, the play uses narrative and comedy to address the ethical and professional implications of emerging technologies.

The tour is scheduled to begin in Ferrara on September 30, visiting 11 cities before concluding in Turin on October 20. The plot follows a school janitor named Serafino who discovers he has been replaced by an advanced robotic system. Through this story, the production aims to make technical concepts like machine learning, data privacy, and automation accessible to a general audience. The tour is supported by technology partners Intel and Lenovo.
