Walter Steinbeck exhibition scheduled at Galerie Seib in Würzburg

Galerie Seib in Würzburg will host an exhibition titled “Auf das Leben” featuring the work of Fulda-based artist Walter Steinbeck. The exhibition is scheduled to run from November 15, 2026, to January 10, 2027.

Steinbeck, known for his STEINBECK brand that produced designs for school supplies and children's items, has recently focused on fine art, specifically large-scale acrylic paintings. The showcase will include approximately 40 works in various formats, including original acrylic paintings, limited edition prints from the “BIRDS” and “Lucky Dogs” series, and watercolor paintings. For the first time, the exhibition will also feature Steinbeck's abstract works to provide a contrast to his more colorful, motif-driven pieces.

Gallery owner Teresita Seib described Steinbeck as a “hero of my childhood and youth,” noting her personal connection to his character designs. The event coincides with the tenth anniversary of Galerie Seib, which opened in October 2016.
