Walter Veltroni criticizes Donald Trump ahead of US midterm elections

Italian politician Walter Veltroni has criticized Donald Trump, stating that the former president is no longer taken seriously. Speaking as a guest on the program Che tempo che fa, Veltroni compared Trump to the comedic character Bombolo, suggesting that the character was actually more likable than the current political reality.

During the conversation with host Fabio Fazio, Veltroni made these remarks shortly before the scheduled midterm elections in the United States on November 3. Massimo Giannini joined the discussion, referencing a famous comedic sketch involving the character to expand on the comparison.
