Waltrop to hold public discussion on Hilberstraße daycare plans

The city of Waltrop is hosting a 'Bauwagengespräch' (construction wagon discussion) on Wednesday, September 16, to address plans for a new daycare center on Hilberstraße. The meeting, starting at 6:00 PM, will take place directly at the site intended for the new facility.

Mayor Marcel Mittelbach will be joined by Jeanette Sebrantke, Department Head for Urban Development, Environment, and Construction, and Christiane Bröcker, Department Head for Life and Work. They will answer questions regarding the project, which is intended to replace the two-group Kita Don Bosco.

The Hilberstraße location was selected after a previously planned site at Zechenwald could not be implemented. The project has faced local discussion, particularly regarding traffic safety concerns.
