Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha to headline WTT China Smash

The first list of participants for the WTT China Smash has been announced. The tournament is scheduled to take place from October 1 to October 11 at Shougang Park in the Shijingshan District of Beijing.

World number one Wang Chuqin will lead the men's singles field as the defending champion. Other top-five ranked men's competitors confirmed for the event include Felix Lebrun of France, Koki Matsushita of Japan, Truls Möregårdh of Sweden, and Tomokazu Harimoto of Japan. The Chinese national team will be heavily represented in the men's singles with seven players, including Lin Shidong and Liang Jingkun.

In the women's singles, world number one Sun Yingsha will compete as the top seed, marking her return to competition following an injury hiatus. She is joined by fellow Chinese players Wang Manyu, Kuai Man, Wang Yidi, and Chen Xingtong. Japan's Miwa Harimoto is also set to compete as the third seed. The tournament features five categories: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles, with winners earning 2,000 world ranking points.
