Wang Junguang returns to ONE Championship for showdown with Prajanchai

Chinese striker Wang Junguang is set to return to the ONE Championship ring for a strawweight kickboxing main event against Prajanchai Pongsuphan PK. The bout will take place at The Inner Circle 35 on Friday, October 16, at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Wang, who holds a 30-7 career record, has not competed in the ONE ring for nearly six years. Following a successful promotional debut in 2019 and a subsequent title shot against Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, his career path was later impacted by a loss to Aslanbek Zikreev in 2020. Wang has expressed that this return represents a “last chance” to secure a gold belt, noting that his mental maturity has significantly improved since his previous appearances.

His opponent, Prajanchai, is a Bangkok native and the reigning ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion with a career record of 344-53. Prajanchai is returning to competition following a year away due to surgery and a previous loss to Jonathan Di Bella.
