Wang Wei-chung denies allegations of insulting Chiang Wan-an

China Broadcasting Corporation and Jinxin Cultural Production have issued a joint statement refuting claims that producer Wang Wei-chung used profanity while interviewing Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an.

The dispute arose after historian Hu Chuan-an posted a clip on social media alleging that Wang had used the term “bullshit” during the conversation. However, the production companies stated that a review of the full interview footage at the 20:12 mark shows Wang actually said “no need” in response to Chiang’s comment about learning from Wang’s speaking style.

The companies accused Hu of intentionally distorting the facts and infringing on copyright by reproducing the content without authorization. They have demanded a public clarification and correction from Hu to prevent the further spread of misinformation.
