Wanna Marchi and Stefania Nobile receive awards at Rome's Campidoglio
Wanna Marchi and her daughter, Stefania Nobile, have sparked controversy after receiving awards during a ceremony held at the Campidoglio in Rome. The event, part of the second edition of the ‘Premio Internazionale della Cultura’ (International Culture Award), took place in the Sala della Protomoteca.
Stefania Nobile was honored for her book, ‘Vendere…cara la pelle’, while Wanna Marchi received recognition for her recently published cookbook, ‘La verità è che io cucino così’. The ceremony drew criticism on social media due to the profiles of the recipients and the choice of venue.
Officials clarified that the event was a private initiative organized by publisher Alessandro Gian Maria Ferri and was not established or managed by the Municipality of Rome (Roma Capitale). While the city administration provided the hall, the organizers were responsible for the event. City councilor Dario Nanni was present to welcome the attendees.
