A Telangana State Special Police (TSSP) constable, identified as Manoj, was assaulted in Warangal following an altercation at a local bar on August 19. According to reports, Manoj was intoxicated and creating a disturbance at the Kalinga Bar and Restaurant.

Upon receiving a call from bar staff, beat constable Santhosh Reddy arrived at the scene and requested that Manoj wear his shirt and leave the premises. The situation escalated when Manoj allegedly refused to comply, leading to an exchange of slaps between the two officers. Following the exchange, Reddy reportedly used a lathi to strike Manoj, while two civilians also allegedly joined the assault by punching or striking him with a stick.

A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media. The Mills Colony police station has registered a case against Manoj, charging him with obstructing a police officer from performing official duties and assaulting an on-duty officer. A notice has been issued to the accused.
