Wardley–Dubois rematch planned, winner to face Moses Itauma

British heavyweights Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois, who clashed in May for the WBO heavyweight title with Dubois stopping Wardley in the 11th round, are slated for a rematch. Promoter Frank Warren indicated the bout could take place in the autumn, with a possible fight for the winner against mandatory challenger Moses Itauma on August 29.

Former champion Tony Bellew has publicly urged Wardley to finish strong in the rematch, noting the importance of capitalising on early knock‑downs. No official date for the second Wardley‑Dubois encounter has been set yet, but preparations are underway.

The outcome will determine which boxer earns the next shot at the WBO world title against the rising British prospect Itauma.
