Wardogs developers confirm false bans affecting players

The shooter game Wardogs, developed by Bulkhead and published by Team17, is facing technical issues regarding player bans. Developers have officially confirmed that a small number of innocent players were falsely banned from the game.

The error primarily affected users who had participated in previous internal testing phases. According to support, the bans were caused by legacy permissions and data remnants from the testing versions that remained active when players transitioned to the standard version.

To resolve the issue, affected players are advised to restart the game and log in again. If the ban persists, users must contact support directly with their Steam ID.

Separately, the game's mechanics have been noted for emphasizing teamplay through a capitalism-based economy. Players earn in-game currency by performing supportive roles such as healing, transporting, and reconnaissance, rather than solely through combat, which incentivizes cooperation over individualistic playstyles.
