Wardogs enters closed beta with Twitch Drops and initial server challenges

The shooter game Wardogs has entered its closed beta phase, beginning August 21, 2026. Players who pre-ordered the Early Access version on Steam are eligible to participate in the testing period, which is scheduled to run through August 23.

During the beta, developers BULKHEAD and publisher Team17 are offering exclusive Twitch Drops. To claim these rewards, players must link their Steam and Twitch accounts via the official Wardogs website. Available items include a Triage Kit, First Aid Kit, Assault Loadout, Demolition Kit, Dune Buggy, RPG Kit, and a Ghillie Suit with a Sniper Kit, depending on the total hours watched on participating streams.

The beta launch initially faced technical difficulties, with reports of authentication failures and significant player queues exceeding 45,000 people. Some users encountered specific error codes, though reports indicated that these issues were largely resolved later in the evening, allowing players to authenticate and enter the game.
