WARDOGS reaches 1 million Steam wishlists ahead of Early Access

The military sandbox FPS WARDOGS, developed by Bulkhead and published by Team17, has surpassed 1 million wishlists on Steam. The announcement follows a surge in interest after the developers released a video titled “10 reasons why you should not buy” the game.

In the video, the developers provided a candid look at the game's current state, noting that because it is entering Early Access, there is currently a lack of content and a focus on core gameplay and performance. They also mentioned that while prices will be lower during development, they may still feel high to some, and warned that player counts might fluctuate as influencers and journalists report on the game's lifecycle.

WARDOGS is a large-scale shooter supporting up to 100 players on massive maps. A primary game mode involves three teams competing for control over randomly generated 2x2km zones. The game is scheduled to enter Early Access on September 10. Players who pre-purchase the title will gain access to a closed beta test scheduled for August 21–23.
