Wardogs Season 2 to launch October 15 with new weather mechanics

Bulkhead has announced that Season 2 of the first-person shooter Wardogs will launch on October 15. The update introduces significant gameplay changes, most notably a new rain weather preset.

The rain mechanic is not dynamic; instead, matches featuring rain will experience it for the entire duration. This addition will impact visibility, engagement ranges, and audio. Thunder can be used strategically to mask gunfire or footsteps, and raindrops will produce distinct sounds based on the surface they hit. Additionally, windows may fog up, and players inside buildings will be exposed to rain if roofs are destroyed.

Beyond weather, Season 2 will include four new weapons (TCX-SPR Assault Rifle, M14 DMR, PP-19 Bizon SMG, and Evo-3 Ultra LMG), four new vehicles, and three new buildable structures. The update also features an experimental in-game wager system, combat balancing for weapon classes, and faction adjustments to the Lonestar faction to address its low win rate.
