Wardogs streamer KatieRouu banned for game exploits

Streamer and vtuber KatieRouu has been banned from the first-person shooter Wardogs for exploiting in-game mechanics to accumulate wealth.

According to reports, the streamer and her squad utilized building mechanics to manipulate the game's economy. The group would place sniper lookout towers around a forward-operating base (FOB) and intentionally allow the enemy team to capture the base. Once control was switched, the squad would use mortars from a different, pre-supplied FOB to destroy structures at the captured base. This method allowed them to generate significant in-game currency through destruction and ammunition assists without contributing to their own team's objectives.

In Wardogs, in-game money earned as a mercenary can be converted into gold, a premium currency used for cosmetics. Joe Brammer, CEO of Bulkhead—the developer of Wardogs—addressed the ban following the controversy.
