Warehouse collapse in Bahia kills four workers
A warehouse under construction collapsed on Thursday morning in Luís Eduardo Magalhães, Bahia, resulting in the deaths of four workers and leaving two others injured. The incident occurred at a facility owned by the fertilizer company Galvani and involved employees from a third-party contractor.
Emergency services, including the Fire Department and SAMU, responded to the scene. Three victims were pronounced dead at the site, while a fourth died after being transported to a local urgent care unit. The two injured workers are reported to be in stable condition.
The Public Ministry of Labor (MPT) is conducting a preliminary analysis to determine if a formal inquiry is necessary to investigate the circumstances of the accident and compliance with workplace safety regulations. Galvani stated it is cooperating with authorities and providing assistance to those affected.
