Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV set for September 17, 2026 release

Publisher Deep Silver and developer King Art Games announced at the Warhammer Skulls 2026 showcase that the next real‑time‑strategy entry, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, will launch on PC via Steam on 17 September 2026. A premium "Commander Edition" will grant three days of early access starting 14 September and includes a digital soundtrack and the year‑one downloadable content.

The base game will feature four launch factions – Space Marines, Orks, Necrons and Adeptus Mechanicus – each with its own campaign, plus classic modes such as Last Stand and Skirmish. Post‑launch, the developers outlined a roadmap that adds a free Crusade mode, multiple map packs, a mission editor and new commanders in the autumn of 2026, followed by a Blood Ravens story prologue and a major "Aftermath" campaign expansion introducing a fifth faction in spring 2027.
