Warhaus announces new album ‘The Donkey’ and 2027 European tour

Belgian musician Maarten Devoldere, performing as Warhaus, has announced his fifth studio album, ‘The Donkey’, scheduled for release on January 15, 2027, via Play It Again Sam. The new project marks a stylistic shift from his previous elegant, melancholic pop toward a more raw, rhythmic, and energetic sound influenced by South African Gqom and club-oriented grooves.

New singles ‘Simple Pleasures’ and ‘The Baby’ showcase this transition, blending sophisticated songwriting with nervous, nocturnal production and driving percussion. Devoldere noted that a period of personal serenity inspired a desire to break from his past artistic constraints in favor of a more instinctive and physical approach.

To support the release, Warhaus will embark on a tour across Europe in early 2027. Scheduled performances include dates in Cologne, Hamburg, and Berlin in February, Zagreb in March, and Milan in March.
