Waris Pathan accuses government of double standards on festival loudspeaker rules
AIMIM national spokesperson Waris Pathan has accused the government of practicing a double standard regarding the use of loudspeakers and DJs during religious festivals. Pathan noted that while the government has extended the permitted time for playing DJs until midnight for festivals such as Ganesh Chaturthi and Janmashtami, restrictions are reportedly enforced after 10 PM during Muslim festivals.
Pathan emphasized that the law and the Constitution should be applied equally to all citizens. He also addressed the issue of the Azaan, claiming that BJP supporters have filed complaints to remove loudspeakers from minarets citing noise pollution. Additionally, Pathan commented on the song Vande Mataram, stating that while he respects the national flag and anthem, certain lines in the song are incompatible with Muslim faith.
