Waris Pathan criticizes Maharashtra anti-conversion law

AIMIM national spokesperson Waris Pathan has criticized the anti-conversion law in Maharashtra, labeling it a violation of the constitution. Pathan argued that every individual has the right to practice their religion as they choose and that the government is using such legislation to target a specific community and distract from core issues.

He emphasized that while Islam prohibits forced conversions, individuals should not be imprisoned for choosing a faith of their own volition. Pathan also raised concerns regarding other domestic matters, including rising sugar prices and safety issues following a fire in Amravati, while expressing condolences for those affected by recent flooding in Nepal.
