Warka orchard offers Gala apple self-harvesting

In Warka, located near Warsaw, an orchard is offering consumers the opportunity to participate in self-harvesting Gala apples for 5 PLN per kilogram. This activity is becoming an increasingly popular way for families to combine fresh fruit shopping with outdoor recreation and educational experiences regarding orchard work.

Regarding fruit consumption, nutritional comparisons show that while apples and pears have similar calorie and sugar content, pears offer slightly more fiber (approximately 3.1g per 100g compared to 2.4g in apples) and a slightly lower glycemic index.
