Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship allocates 4.4 million PLN in EU grants to NGOs
The Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship Marshal's Office has distributed over 4.4 million PLN in European Union funds to 42 regional organizations. This second round of grants is part of a strategic project to support civil society organizations, including rural women's circles, volunteer fire departments, and various foundations.
One recipient that has drawn public attention is the AstroLab Institute in Ełk, which received 84,130.33 PLN for its 'AstroLab – education and expansion' project. The institute's director, Robert Marzewski, stated the funds would be used for language studies, such as Russian, to facilitate reading astrological literature in its original language.
Separately, local authorities in Olsztyn and the regional Marshal's Office spent a combined 450,000 PLN to support the Campus Polska Przyszłości event. The regional government provided 300,000 PLN through a direct award for regional promotion, while the city of Olsztyn contributed 150,000 PLN for technical stage services.
